πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ Zeta FC Academy 2026 Japan Tour – Successfully Completed

We are incredibly proud to have completed Zeta FC’s third international trip in club history β€” and our largest ever.

✈️ 4 teams
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ 130+ participants (including families)
🌍 One unforgettable experience

Despite challenges like jet lag, heavy rain, language barriers, and roster limitations, our players showed true resilience, character, and determination.

πŸ† Tournament Highlights

β€’ B2016 β€” Zone Γ— Bay Area FC U10 Cup Champions
β€’ B2017 β€” Infinity Cup Runner-Up (April 4th)
β€’ B2013 & G2013 β€” Strong performances at a higher competitive level

🌸 Competing during cherry blossom season made this experience even more special β€” a moment you can only witness in Japan during this time of year.

Beyond results, this trip was about growth and connection. Japanese players and coaches were incredibly respectful and welcoming, and the level of sportsmanship on and off the field was truly inspiring.

Through these matches, we recognized the importance of improving in technical ability, fundamentals, and tactical execution, while also seeing the strengths of American players in athleticism and physicality.

There is no single way to play football β€” and that’s the beauty of the global game.

⚽ Soccer is a universal language.

It’s about winning β€” but also about culture, friendship, and growth.

More Than Just the Game

Off the field, the tour fostered meaningful connections and cultural exchange. Players and families shared moments with local teams, took photos, and built friendships that extend beyond competition.

The group also enjoyed a full cultural experience in Tokyo, including:
β€’ A city tour of Tokyo
β€’ A special visit to Soccer Shop KAMO, where the group was warmly welcomed and provided with a private shopping experience
β€’ Visits to a traditional Buddhist temple and Akihabara Electric Town

Building Global Connections

This tour further strengthened Zeta FC’s international relationships, particularly with FC Imabari Academy. The connection between Irvine and Japan continues to grow, creating new opportunities for collaboration, development, and cultural exchange.

Special thanks to Dobashi for taking the time to watch our B2016 & B2017 teams compete β€” we truly appreciate your support.

Zeta FC Academy thanks all players, families, and staff for their trust, support, and commitment throughout this journey.

As the club continues to expand its global footprint, international experiences like this remain a core part of its mission to develop well-rounded players both on and off the field.

We look forward to the next chapter.
